On September 13, 2024, the Special Session for Logistics and Shipping Service Support Enterprises "Going Global", one of events for the 2024 Foreign Investment Cooperation Service Open Day, hosted by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and jointly organized by Bondex Group and Yingke Global, came to a successful conclusion. This event gathered numerous industry elites, senior experts, and business representatives to jointly explore the opportunities and challenges of Chinese enterprises' "going global", and provided a high-quality platform for communication and cooperation for attendees.

Diverse highlights being shared

The meeting kicked off with a warm speech by Zhou Shouhong, CEO of Bondex Group, expressing sincere gratitude to government leaders, guests, and customers. In this era full of opportunities and challenges, it is necessary for Chinese enterprises to go overseas. Logistics and shipping service, as an important supporting force for Chinese enterprises to "go global", provide a solid foundation for their internationalization. Bondex Group will continue to promote its overseas strategy and integrate into the global market with a more proactive attitude.

Subsequently, Ye Xiaopei, President of Yingke Global, shared the "Five Steps" for enterprises to go global and the methodology of Yingke Foreign Service's "one-stop" overseas service system. International customs rules experts gave a wonderful speech on "Analysis of World Customs Rules and Reflection on Customs Compliance for Enterprises Going Global", which deeply analyzed the latest developments in world customs rules and the key path for enterprises to comply with international trade risks, providing guidance for enterprises to avoid international trade risks.

Subsequently, Mr. Zhai Ming, the Director of Customs Affairs of Bondex Group, gave a speech on "Compliance Scenarios and Overseas Compliance Resource Planning for Enterprise Export Customs Affairs", elaborating on the complexity and importance of overseas customs compliance for participating companies. Zhai Ming pointed out that in the process of "going global", enterprises face four typical customs compliance risks: product classification risk, product price risk, preferential investment policy risk, and origin planning risk. Case studies helped the companies deeply understand the urgency and severity of customs compliance.

Zhai Ming also shared common misconceptions in overseas customs decision-making and emphasized the need for companies to start from the basics and build a comprehensive customs compliance system. At the same time, he introduced the ability and experience of Bondex Group in empowering enterprises to comply with customs regulations. Through its advantageous products and rich resources, it provides practical and feasible solutions for enterprises, helping them navigate steadily in the complex international trade environment.

Next, Douglas Mackay, a tax supply chain expert from PwC, Jerry Wang, COO of MOL Logistics (China), Pan Yonggang, founder of Rogo.com, and a supply chain expert from Chery Automobile, shared valuable insights and experiences on key topics such as overseas tax management, Japanese enterprises’ overseas experience, sustainable development of global supply chain, and Chinese automobile’s overseas supply chain, providing diverse perspectives and inspirations for participating companies.

Roundtable Dialogue: New Demand for Enhancing Supply Chain Competitiveness in China's Intelligent Manufacturing Going Global

The roundtable discussion session brought by several guests including Fan Fei, Chief Analyst of Ebrun, Tang Mingzheng, Head of Cross-border E-commerce Logistics of Bondex Group, Wang Minjun, CMO of CATLINK, and Wen Ling, Head of Romoss Logistics, further pushed the event to a climax. The guests engaged in in-depth discussions around the theme of "China's Intelligent Manufacturing Going Global: Enhancing Supply Chain Competitiveness". They not only discussed the opportunities and challenges faced by Chinese manufacturing enterprises going global, but also put forward insightful ideas on how to enhance the global competitiveness of Chinese manufacturing through optimizing supply chain management, strengthening technological innovation, and shaping international brands.

In the face of the cross-border e-commerce market environment where opportunities and challenges coexist, different types of e-commerce sellers are exploring their own development ideas. For example, detailed segmented product sellers will focus more on investing in product R&D and brand building, popular product sellers will advance in channel development and operational control, and factory sellers relying on industries will need more comprehensive supporting services to help them grow.

Bondex has always been designing different types of supply chain/logistics solutions from the perspectives of our customers, dividing the overall logistics chain into A-B-C-D segments. Leveraging Bondex's advantages in sea and air transport resources in traditional large-scale logistics, it provides comprehensive support for segment B (international segment), cooperates with overseas clearance and delivery services, realizes a new generation of cross-border e-commerce services, and ensures the visualization of the overall logistics chain. At the same time, to help new sellers control logistics costs, we will also launch fixed price products, including a one-stop service from domestic end to international end, foreign warehouse management, and final delivery, to solve the cost problem for sellers entering e-commerce.

In addition, Bondex will also explore more innovative models in cross-border e-commerce logistics, such as stocking planning for different branch warehouses based on the terminal consumption needs of destination countries, port innovation relying on industrial belts, and helping sellers link offline distribution channels, providing customers with more comprehensive supporting services for going global.

During the tea break, guests from different industries such as automotive, semiconductor, new energy, medical equipment, and rubber tires had deeper exchanges, discussions, and intelligent collisions on their experiences and problems in going global together.

Adhere to long-lasting service principle and move forward hand in hand with customers

In the future, Bondex Group will continue to adhere to long-lasting service principles, uphold the values of professionalism/integrity/customer first, and work, share and grow together with our customers. Meanwhile, we also look forward to more companies joining us to write a new chapter for Chinese enterprises to "go global".
